About the role
- Senior Project Manager leading complex customer and internal SaaS projects from initiation through completion. Coordinating cross-functional teams, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and executive reporting within Canada.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent projects from initiation through completion
- Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resources
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
- Establish project governance and reporting frameworks
- Serve as primary point of contact for project stakeholders
- Build relationships with customers, executives, and internal teams
- Facilitate kickoffs, stakeholder updates, steering committees, and status reviews
- Manage stakeholder expectations and alignment on goals and deliverables
- Coordinate resources across multiple teams
- Monitor budgets, forecast resource requirements, and track financial performance
- Ensure effective utilization of internal resources and external vendors
- Improve project management methodologies, templates, best practices, and delivery standards
- Drive operational efficiencies and improve project outcomes
- Partner with Product, Development, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support teams
- Facilitate issue resolution and cross-functional decision-making
- Support strategic initiatives and organizational change management
- Prepare executive-level project status reports and dashboards
- Communicate project performance, risks, resource constraints, and recommendations to leadership
- Escalate critical issues and drive resolution
Requirements
- 7+ years of project management experience in SaaS, software, technology, consulting, or professional services environments
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale or complex customer-facing projects
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- Ability to travel occasionally within Canada and the United States
- Valid passport
- Criminal background check may be required
- Preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent certification
- Preferred: Experience leading SaaS software implementations
- Preferred: Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Preferred: Experience with change management initiatives
- Preferred: Experience working in high-growth technology organizations
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Project Management, or related field
