About the role
- Android AI Lead Developer building Kotlin and Jetpack Compose apps for Atimi’s high-profile software clients. Leading architecture, code quality, releases, and DevOps across remote projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate proactively with the project team to develop the product throughout the development lifecycle
- Ensure code quality and governance
- Ensure engineers follow patterns and designs agreed with project leads
- Plan, estimate, and contribute to architecture, coding, and development
- Refactor codebases and drive continuous improvement
- Communicate technical decisions and information thoroughly to the global team
- Take responsibility for releases and contribute to ongoing support of live applications
- Participate in deployment and operation of software through DevOps activities
- Deliver fair outcomes for customers while maintaining professional conduct
Requirements
- Located in Canada; relocation support is not provided
- Strong Kotlin development experience (4+ years)
- Strong object-oriented design skills; knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Strong English skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with Jetpack Compose (3+ years)
- Experience with Gemini and/or Claude (2+ years)
- Experience with GWT and/or AWS cloud environment (3+ years)
- Experience with TDD and DDD
- Experience using and configuring CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working directly with clients and other project stakeholders to define and refine requirements
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (preferred)
- Experience with TypeScript (preferred)
- Experience with Python (preferred)
- Experience with Hyper Velocity Engineering (preferred)
- Experience with BMAD methodology (preferred)
