API/Backend Developer role designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Onsite in Mississauga/Toronto, ON.
About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing backend and frontend solutions for leading North American companies. Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement various software solutions with modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, design and implement the right solution
- Designing and implementing backend solutions with Java, Spring and AWS
- Designing and implementing backend solutions with node.js (nest.js) and Typescript
- Designing and implementing frontend solutions with Typescript and React
- Designing and implementing new extensions in the Workday Environment
- Preparing business requirement documents, configuration documents and process flows
- Delivering fair outcomes for our customers, ensuring conduct maintains a high level of expertise
- Providing support to other team members and key stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a recognized university.
- 5+ years of experience with Java
- 3+ years of experience with Typescript
- 3+ years of experience with AWS
- 3+ years of relevant experience implementing Workday integrations.
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 1+ years of Workday HR module expertise
- Experience working directly with clients and other project stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
- Strong English skills (written and verbal).
