About the role
- Civil Site Inspector responsible for inspecting Electrical utilities construction in Ontario. Focused on compliance with regulations and proper documentation while collaborating with Contractors.
Responsibilities
- inspect and verify Electrical utilities construction performed by Contractors
- review essential Contract documents and project specific plans for compliance
- verify construction complies with IFC drawings and Client specifications
- prepare site reports and maintain a deficiency register
- monitor Contractor safety performance and report deviations
- monitor environmental performance and report violations
Requirements
- qualified Civil Professional Engineer or graduated from a Civil/Structural Post-Secondary Engineering or Technical program
- past Construction, Utilities and/or Inspection experience
- experience in Electrical Utilities Construction of Transmission or Stations projects would be an asset
- strong knowledge of Ontario Construction Regulations
- ability to interpret Design drawings and Standards
- proficiency with MS Office
- self-accountable with the ability to work independently
