About the role

  • Civil Site Inspector responsible for inspecting Electrical utilities construction in Ontario. Focused on compliance with regulations and proper documentation while collaborating with Contractors.

Responsibilities

  • inspect and verify Electrical utilities construction performed by Contractors
  • review essential Contract documents and project specific plans for compliance
  • verify construction complies with IFC drawings and Client specifications
  • prepare site reports and maintain a deficiency register
  • monitor Contractor safety performance and report deviations
  • monitor environmental performance and report violations

Requirements

  • qualified Civil Professional Engineer or graduated from a Civil/Structural Post-Secondary Engineering or Technical program
  • past Construction, Utilities and/or Inspection experience
  • experience in Electrical Utilities Construction of Transmission or Stations projects would be an asset
  • strong knowledge of Ontario Construction Regulations
  • ability to interpret Design drawings and Standards
  • proficiency with MS Office
  • self-accountable with the ability to work independently
