Responsibilities
- Provide project management for multidisciplinary bridge projects
- Lead a structural design team for a variety of projects
- Applying advanced engineering techniques and tools for solution of complex engineering challenges
- Directing, coaching, supporting and guiding employees (engineers and technicians) assigned to projects
- Advise management and collaborate with other disciplines
- Preparation of proposals and participation in business development including publications and conferences
- Preparing structural designs and evaluations, and contract packages for key Clients
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering (preferably with a Structural major)
- Registered as Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with EGBC
- 15+ years of experience in engineering practice in analysis and design of various types of bridge and transportation structures
- Experience with reviewing condition survey reports and making recommendations for rehabilitation strategy
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation with 10 years in project management
- Demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering projects
- Experience with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Code
- Proficient in SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, MIDAS, Staad Pro, ETABS, Bentley ProjectWise and Microsoft Office applications.
