About the role
- Data Platform & Analytics Capability Lead building, positioning, and scaling Avanade’s enterprise data and analytics capability in Canada. Shaping client solutions, opportunities, partnerships, and delivery standards.
Responsibilities
- Operationalize the capability strategy and establish priorities, partnerships, and execution discipline to scale
- Build a network of internal partners and use seller, client, and delivery feedback to refine the capability
- Lead opportunity qualification by translating client needs into service configuration, scope, delivery approach, and commercial proposition
- Partner with technical architects to validate architecture, estimates, assumptions, and feasibility
- Engage senior client stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate data challenges into practical solutions and roadmaps
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms for executives, sellers, architects, and engineering teams
- Maintain continuity from opportunity shaping through delivery, aligning client expectations, contractual commitments, and capability standards
- Build, position, sell, and scale a new enterprise data and analytics capability
- Evolve the service in response to market demand and ensure sustained relevance, scalability, and commercial viability
Requirements
- Experience in consulting, technical architecture, or capability development across enterprise data, analytics, cloud, or related technology services
- Strong client advisory skills and ability to connect technical investments to business outcomes
- Experience in business development, pre-sales, opportunity qualification, solution shaping, or proposal development
- Broad knowledge of enterprise data architecture, engineering, analytics, governance, and cloud platforms
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks
- Ability to discuss solution options, tradeoffs, delivery implications, and effort drivers with clients and technical teams
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, take initiative, and turn emerging ideas and client demand into repeatable business opportunities
