About the role

  • Bilingual Registered Plans Administrator processing Canadian registered-plan transactions and regulatory requests. Supporting Aviso’s wealth-management and investment-services operations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer registered plan products and process requests such as de-registration, unlocking, and specialized withdrawals
  • Ensure registrations, contributions, and withdrawals meet regulatory deadlines for RESPs, RSPs, TFSAs, RIF accounts, FHSAs, and other registered plans
  • Investigate, respond to, and resolve registered-plan inquiries within SLA deadlines
  • Escalate issues requiring management review and intervention
  • Complete CIRO Registered Plan audits within internal and regulatory deadlines
  • Work closely with Tax, Estates, Transfers, New Accounts, and Client Account Maintenance teams on registered-plan updates
  • Participate in Registered Plan Committee Meetings
  • Implement trustee and regulatory changes into procedures and manuals and keep documentation current
  • Stay current on CRA, RQ, ESDC, and trustee regulations through legislation, press releases, and industry bulletins

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in Operations or Registered Plans
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Pro-active problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills
  • Outstanding customer service focus
  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate with a focus on quality assurance
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge and experience of Dataphile is an asset
  • Required to conduct business in French
  • Bilingual in English is an asset and strongly preferred
  • Ability to work EST standard hours
