About the role
- Product Designer on the Customer Experience team delivering user experience for Canadian wealth management platforms. Collaborating across teams to achieve business objectives and user needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with your primary delivery team
- Building relationships with business leads and stakeholders
- Understanding user needs and data analysis
- Defining and designing user experience
- Researching and validating requirements with users and stakeholders
- Prototyping and testing solutions for iterative design
- Documenting reusable patterns leveraging design system
- Advocating for user-centered practice within the organization
- Communicating design vision with Product Managers and Technical Leads
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience as a key member of a product delivery team in a technology company
- Ability to articulate a clear rationale for all design decisions
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skill in triaging design demands
- Self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively
- Awareness of accessibility, WCAG, AODA, AMA
- An online portfolio of previous and current professional work
- Exceptional skills with Figma and Miro or similar tools
- Investigation and workshopping skills to identify problems and solutions
- Familiarity with the investment or financial services industries is an asset
- Undergraduate degree in UX, Human Computer Interaction or Graphic/Digital Design is an asset
- Fluent communication in English is required, bilingual in French is an asset
