About the role
- Senior Scrum Master / Agile Coach guiding Agile teams for AXIS Capital. Driving organizational transformation and supporting Agile practices for high-performing teams in insurance and reinsurance.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives)
- Remove impediments and shield teams from external disruptions
- Coach and mentor teams, Product Owners, junior Scrum Masters and leadership on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and SAFe processes
- Support Agile transformation initiatives, including training, workshops, and change management activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of Agile practices with business objectives
- Track and analyze Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, lead time) to drive continuous improvement
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers to manage cross-team dependencies
- Advocate for Agile best practices and contribute to the growth of the Agile community within the organization
Requirements
- Specialty (re)insurance or financial services industry experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, including proven experience in Agile Coaching
- Demonstrated experience supporting Agile transformation efforts at team or organizational level
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools (Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps)
- Proven ability to mentor teams and leadership to achieve Agile maturity
- Experience with scaling frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS
