About the role
- Scrum Master facilitating Agile teams delivering healthcare software solutions for Harris Computer. Improving backlogs, testing, stakeholder communication, and data-driven delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for up to two Agile teams
- Ensure adherence to Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Remove team impediments and obstacles
- Coach team members on Agile methodologies and best practices
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize and refine product backlogs
- Monitor team performance metrics and sprint progress
- Develop a strong understanding of software solutions and workflows
- Assist the Product Owner and Business Analyst with user story writing and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate requirements clarification between the Product Owner’s vision and the agile team’s technical implementation
- Participate in extra testing activities such as break-a-thons
- Translate completed features and bugs into user-centric release notes
- Monitor and track feedback and issues related to User Acceptance Testing and escalate when needed
Requirements
- 3 years as a Scrum Master in an agile environment, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices, with ability to tailor approaches to project needs
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework™ (SAFe) is an advantage
- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive data-driven decision-making
- Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, regulations, HL7 interfaces, and best practices in Canada or the United States
- Experience with software quality testing and quality processes
- Experience as a clinical informaticist or as part of a healthcare system’s application support team
- Languages spoken and/or written: French, English, Spanish
