About the role
- Senior Software Engineer building scalable, high-performance web applications for Binance.US, a regulated cryptocurrency exchange. Leading front-end architecture, performance optimization, testing, and secure user experiences with Next.js and React.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable front-end features using Next.js, React, Vue.js, and TypeScript
- Own end-to-end development of web features, including testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Build modular and reusable UI components
- Optimize web performance through SSR/SSG, lazy loading, and responsive design techniques
- Monitor and improve page load time, TTI, and Core Web Vitals
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and DevOps teams to define requirements and deliver features
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions and engineering best practices
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Support CI/CD pipelines and reliable deployment processes with DevOps
- Ensure code quality, accessibility, security, and automated unit, integration, and E2E testing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin
- Approximately 8 years of professional software development experience focused on front-end web applications, or approximately 6 years with an advanced degree
- Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, Vue.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience with Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools
- Experience designing and developing micro-frontend architectures
- Hands-on experience developing Mini Programs / Mini Apps, such as WeChat Mini Program or similar platforms
- Understanding of SSR/SSG, CDN strategies, caching, and responsive design principles
- Familiarity with front-end security best practices
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment workflows
- Exposure to AWS or GCP
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
- English and Mandarin fluency required for professional communication
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
