Pharmacy Support Supervisor overseeing and leading Pharmacy Support Assistants for patient care and operational efficiency. Ensuring a high-performing team and compliance with established policies and procedures in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
Provide direct leadership to the Pharmacy Support team, ensuring a cohesive and high performing unit.
Ensure Pharmacy Support team members adhere to established policies and procedures while monitoring/developing internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance targets.
Foster positive and successful working relationships between Pharmacy Support team members, patients, BioScript Pharmacies as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Drive excellence within the Pharmacy Support team by seeking innovative ways to enhance remote services.
Ensure efficient utilization of Pharmacy Support team resources while also providing necessary training to new and existing team members.
Daily monitoring and managing of Pharmacy Support team emails and voicemail.
Ensure team is adhering to established workflows and contribute to the Pharmacy Support team’s workflow as necessary.
Conduct regular formal touchpoints with Pharmacy Support team members, including team meetings as necessary and quarterly/yearly performance reviews.
Collaborate with HR to actively build and manage talent within the team, addressing underperforming team members, and participating in the recruitment process through interviews and identifying suitable candidates.
Collaborate with HR as needed to address HR issues involving Pharmacy Support team members.
Assist in change management initiatives and ensure communication plans are effectively disseminated to Pharmacy Support team members.
Requirements
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years previous leadership experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting considered an asset.
Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and support services.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of change management principles.
Commitment to maintaining a positive and high-performing team culture.
Proven leadership, conflict management, motivational and team building skills.
Demonstrated skills in relationship building and influencing to achieve results.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment.
Understanding of systems implementation and an ability to monitor and manage best practices.
Exceptionally strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Able to manage files and issues across multiple locations while effectively budgeting time.
Proficient in BioMetRx, Kroll, MS Excel, Outlook (Email), and Word.
English proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Bilingualism (French and English) may be required depending on the specific role, location, and the needs of the organization.
