About the role
- Backend Engineer designing production-ready APIs, data models, and integrations for Blockvora’s secure Web3 and blockchain products. Building reliable services with Node.js, Rust, Go, Java, Python, or Ruby.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services
- Own APIs, data models, and integrations with blockchain and third-party systems
- Build and maintain backend services using one or more supported languages
- Design REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Model data and manage PostgreSQL, Redis, or equivalent systems
- Integrate blockchain APIs, wallets, and external services
- Implement authentication, permissions, and operational controls
- Write tests and improve observability
- Participate in code reviews
- Ship production-ready services with CI/CD
- Deliver stable production APIs, clear data models and service boundaries, reliable integrations, low operational noise, and strong code quality
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one of: Node.js/TypeScript, Rust, Go, Java, Python, or Ruby
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and caching
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and system design basics
- Experience integrating external APIs or microservices
- Strong coding fundamentals and production debugging skills
- Proficiency across multiple backend languages (nice to have)
- Web3 integrations, including ethers.js, smart contract APIs, and chain clients (nice to have)
- Event-driven or distributed systems experience (nice to have)
- AWS / GCP familiarity (nice to have)
- Fintech or consulting experience (nice to have)
