- Senior software engineer building Python/Golang Kubernetes operators and addons for Canonical, publisher of Ubuntu and open-source software. Remote role serving global enterprise technology markets.
Responsibilities
- Build Kubernetes operators and addons
- Provide complete lifecycle management of mission-critical components
- Enable zero-ops integration of projects into Kubernetes
- Incorporate the latest Kubernetes features and open-source functionality
- Collaborate with industry peers and partners to deliver solutions to customers
- Work closely with other leads and share responsibility for team, department, and company outcomes
- Mentor, develop, and advise colleagues on career progression
- Write high-quality code for new features
- Debug issues and interact with the open-source community
- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
- Work from home with global travel for internal and external events
Requirements
- Golang development experience and fluency in Python
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree
