About the role

  • Client Services Officer supporting commercial banking clients at BMO. Resolving service issues, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and coordinating operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily operational client service support to grow the Bank’s market share and maximize profitability of client relationships
  • Resolves client problems promptly and effectively, identifying and closing or referring enhancement and cross-sell opportunities
  • Meets client service needs through a pooled call center environment or dedicated one-on-one relationships with sensitive, complex, and/or top-tier clients
  • Coordinates and executes activities for strategic initiatives, tracking metrics and milestones
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives
  • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Documents client requests accurately using tracking systems
  • Supports change management execution and sustainment activities
  • Develops tailored messaging, including writing, editing, and distributing communications
  • Provides information about product and service capabilities or directs clients to appropriate sources
  • Tracks collection of client service fees
  • Listens to client concerns, diagnoses service needs, and facilitates problem resolution
  • Escalates service problems and advocates for individual clients
  • Analyzes issues, determines next steps, and completes complex and diverse tasks within established rules and limits
  • Applies BMO’s Risk Management Framework and makes risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy, policies, laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks and priorities concurrently
  • Bilingual capability is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of BMO banking products
  • In-depth knowledge of customer escalation processes and practices
