About the role

  • Project Coordinator managing construction project coordination and documentation delivery at Buttcon. Involvement in scheduling, budget tracking, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules
  • Support the project team to adhere to timelines and deliverables
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and tendering activities
  • Maintain and review all project documentation including contracts, drawings, field work orders, requests for information, submittals, changes, and close-out records
  • Ensure proper document version control and accessibility
  • Work with Closeout specialist to gather documentation (O&M manuals, warranties) and coordinate warranty work
  • Track and report project expenditures
  • Price and process Change Notices, Change Directives, and Site Instructions
  • Alert project manager of potential cost overruns
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and suppliers
  • Organize and document project meetings (agendas, minutes, action items)
  • Act as a key liaison between field teams and head office
  • Support in the development and updating of project schedules
  • Monitor and report on scheduling deviations or delays
  • Maintain and update submittal logs with accurate dates
  • Support quality control efforts and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards
  • Adherence to health and safety protocols and regulations and promote others to do the same
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Junior Project Coordinators as needed
  • Support the project team with daily administrative and coordination tasks

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and close-out processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
  • Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, BIM, and Axis Accounting Software is an asset
  • LEED, Net Zero, WELL, or Passive House accreditation is an asset
