About the role

Part-time Retail Shift Leader overseeing Canna Cabana store operations for High Tide’s cannabis retail business. Supervising staff, customer service, sales KPIs, and inventory on shift.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to store management in supervising and facilitating the daily operations of the store
Oversee the responsibilities of the Store Manager in the absence of the SM or ASM
Assist in key personnel management when on shift and resolve customer service issues
Provide direction, guidance and instruction to store associates
Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards
Assist with staffing levels when requested
Act as the sales and customer service leader and role model in the absence of the SM/ASM
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are adhered to by all staff
Handle customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary
Ensure health, safety and security regulations and standards are met on shift
Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
Ensure employees on shift actively pursue sales goals
Oversee and assist with inventory management and be accountable for inventory processes on shift
Perform other duties as required

Must already have, or be able to quickly obtain, CannaSell SK certification before first day of work
Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required
A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
Demonstrated sales and service orientation required
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required
Skills to monitor and lead by example as required
Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and different locations
Basic office administration skills required
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Well-defined sense of diplomacy
Excellent teamwork and team building skills
Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
