About the role
- Part-time shift leader supervising Canna Cabana cannabis retail operations in Calgary. Leading staff, customer service, sales targets, compliance, and inventory on shift.
Responsibilities
- Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
- Oversee Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of the SM or ASM
- Assist with personnel management and resolve customer service issues
- Provide direction, guidance and instruction to store associates
- Ensure store conditions meet established standards
- Assist with staffing levels when requested
- Act as sales and customer service leader/role model when SM/ASM are absent
- Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
- Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are followed
- Handle and escalate customer complaints as necessary
- Ensure health, safety and security regulations and standards are met on shift
- Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
- Ensure employees actively pursue sales goals
- Oversee and assist with inventory management and shift inventory processes
Requirements
- Must have valid SellSafe Certification
- Completion of high school and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required; Cannabis industry preferred
- A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
- Demonstrated sales and service orientation
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
- Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
- Basic office administration skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
- Highly effective teamwork skills
- Effective verbal and written communication with individuals at all organizational levels
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and different locations
