Retail Shift Leader overseeing daily operations, sales, staff, and inventory at Canna Cabana, a Canadian cannabis retailer. Supporting store management and customer service in Sudbury.
Responsibilities
Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
Oversee Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of the SM or ASM
Assist with personnel management and resolve customer service issues during shifts
Provide direction, guidance, and instruction to store associates
Ensure store conditions meet established standards
Assist with staffing levels when requested
Act as sales and customer service leader and role model in the absence of the SM/ASM
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are followed
Handle and escalate customer complaints as necessary
Ensure health, safety, and security regulations and standards are met
Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
Ensure employees actively pursue sales goals
Oversee and assist with inventory management and shift inventory processes
Requirements
Must have valid CannSell to work in a retail cannabis store
Must have or be able to successfully complete a Police Background Check
Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required; Cannabis industry preferred
Demonstrated sales and service orientation required
A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required
Basic office administration skills required
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations
