About the role
- SaaS Solution Architect at Capgemini leading cloud strategies and migrations for clients. Architecting solutions and ensuring compliance with cloud security and scalability practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead client discussions, workshops, assessments, and solution presentations.
- Develop cloud strategies, migration roadmaps, and ensure alignment with Quebec compliance.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, solution design, and proposal development.
- Architect secure, scalable GCP solutions across Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Security, GKE, Cloud Run, and data services.
- Design cloud-native apps, microservices, and modernization patterns.
- Build Landing Zones, VPCs, IAM frameworks, and IaC automation (Terraform).
- Guide engineering teams and ensure adherence to delivery frameworks.
- Lead migrations from on-prem or other clouds into GCP.
- Oversee execution teams to ensure performance, compliance, and stability.
- Produce documentation, architecture artifacts, and handover materials.
- Advise executives, architects, and technical teams.
- Influence cloud strategy and strengthen the GCP partnership.
Requirements
- 8+ years in cloud engineering/architecture; 3+ years hands-on GCP
- Strong cloud architecture and modernization experience
- Proven migration leadership from on-prem/other clouds to GCP
- Terraform/IaC experience
- Strong presales and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- GCP certifications (e.g., PCA) - good to have
- Multicloud experience (AWS/Azure) - good to have
- Experience with Quebec public sector or regulated industries - good to have
- DevOps/SRE, CI/CD, observability experience - good to have
- Knowledge of GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) - good to have
- Application development or modernization background - good to have
