About the role

Managing digital services teams, clinical systems, and technology projects for Manitoba’s provincial health system. Overseeing implementations, vendors, maintenance, and enterprise architecture alignment.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of client service professionals supporting clinical and business systems across Manitoba’s provincial health system
Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation to completion, including scope, risk, change, issues, schedule, cost, quality, and communication
Communicate project requirements and manage changes, upgrades, and new application or technology platform implementations
Act as the primary area contact for transitioning assigned applications into regular operational use
Plan, recommend procurement or development, and deliver assigned projects
Ensure ongoing maintenance, lifecycle refresh, patching, application enhancements, and upgrades of assigned technologies
Collaborate with vendors to support outsourced service delivery and ongoing vendor support
Lead or influence change management and benefits realization measurement with business leads
Promote adoption, optimization, deployment, and maintenance of technologies and related equipment
Align technology updates with enterprise architecture, standards, and approved operating plans
Report to a director

8 years of progressive management experience in a large, 24/7/365, geographically dispersed digital services organization specializing in clinical, business, infrastructure and/or enterprise architecture solutions and supports, preferably in the health-care sector
5 years of experience managing client services focused on maintaining complex computer systems and information infrastructure in a shared services environment
3 years of experience implementing annual operating plans focused on client service and leading multiple project teams
3 years of experience influencing mid and senior management and key stakeholders, and collaborating with vendors on outsourced services
Post-secondary degree in technology, computer science, engineering, or digital health/clinical informatics from an accredited educational institution
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Active member in good standing with an associated regulatory body as appropriate
Demonstrated mid-level leadership capabilities
Ability to work safely in a computerized office environment with frequent meetings
Ability to lift and carry items up to approximately 10 kg
Valid Manitoba driver’s license and personal motor vehicle required for provincial travel
Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
Current Child Abuse Registry Check
Current Adult Abuse Registry Check
