Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support in a diverse range of projects.
- Carry out engineering studies/reviews, data analysis and preparing technical reports.
- Follow a work plan that provides more detailed objectives and duties by specific departments.
Requirements
- Completion of 4 year university degree in an engineering program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB)
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree from the Professional Engineers Ontario's Recognized Programs List plus the completion of PEO's Technical Exam Program.
- Specific and general knowledge in the field of application related to the department Engineering standards for Ontario/Canada and related to the field of expertise
- Familiarity of various engineering standards, bylaws and related national and provincial codes, applicable acts, legislations, regulations and guidelines
- Current and advanced engineering technologies, processes and design
- Project management principles and practices
- Analytical techniques
- Applied research techniques (pilot plant, bench-scale, etc.): set-up, operation, analysis
- Customer service management
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc.)
- Field investigation and surveying techniques
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
