About the role

  • Technical Program Manager leading complex engineering programs for Coder’s AI development infrastructure platform. Coordinating multi-team delivery, risks, dependencies, and executive stakeholder visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and shape complex, high-stakes engineering programs
  • Own engineering programs end to end, from definition through delivery and iteration
  • Define scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and risks
  • Drive trade-offs to written decisions and hold accountability for delivery
  • Work hands-on with engineers and product managers to influence architectural and interface decisions
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, design, security, and go-to-market teams
  • Run the operating cadence and provide updates on program health, risks, and trade-offs to technical, executive, and customer stakeholders
  • Improve engineering productivity through better tooling and lightweight processes, including AI-native tooling and Coder's product
  • Provide leadership visibility to support strategic steering

Requirements

  • 7+ years in technical program management
  • Experience with complex multi-team programs where no single team owned the whole outcome
  • Deep technical intuition, including ability to read design documents and assess unstated assumptions
  • Track record of delivering at scale, including ownership of a dated external commitment such as a GA, launch, or regulated enterprise deadline
  • Strong organizational influence and ability to move teams without direct reporting authority
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with technical and executive audiences
  • Judgment to apply appropriate process while maintaining speed and rigor
  • Familiarity with Go, Postgres, GCP, Kubernetes, gRPC, TypeScript, React, Vite, Kotlin, Prometheus, Grafana, GitHub Actions, GitHub, Slack, Discord, and Notion
  • Ability to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship requirements are asked during application
