- Linux Systems Specialist at Crafty Penguins providing technical support and maintaining client systems remotely. Collaborating with clients to improve their infrastructure and addressing system alerts.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and handle client requests • Handling client system alerts • Conducting client system patching and health checks • Performing deployments via our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) • Onboard new clients and create roadmaps for improving their infrastructure • Time tracking for all hours worked • Some afterhours will be required
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with Linux-based operating systems • Advanced knowledge of Networking • Experience using various cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCloud, Digital Ocean) • Debugging problems with Unix based operating systems and IP based networking at a very low level • Good knowledge and experience with container based workloads, and their runtime tooling (LXC/D, Docker, Podman) • Container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.) • Good scripting skills with Bash and Python • 2-year technical diploma (CIS or CS) or greater • Certifications on our platforms and products (AWS, Azure, K8S, RHEL, and the like)
