About the role
- Back-End Developer creating scalable backend systems focused on rules engine implementation in Snowflake for Deloitte client. Developing robust Python-based services and ensuring data integrity and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Support the setup, configuration and optimisation of a new rules engine within Snowflake
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Python
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless API integration
- Optimise application performance, scalability, and security
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in architectural decisions and technical design discussions
Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience working with Snowflake, including configuration and data modelling is essential
- Solid understanding of API design (RESTful services)
- Experience working with databases and data-driven systems
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
