About the role

Database administrator supporting Desjardins’ secure, large-scale data infrastructure. Designing, maintaining, automating and documenting database environments for IT development teams.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade computer networks, management systems and database servers
Plan, design, modify, implement, update and develop data structures for important projects and initiatives in medium- to large-scale database environments
Install, configure and support database management systems
Ensure databases are secure, accurate, consistent, maintained and used optimally
Plan and prioritize work to meet objectives
Help create and maintain small- to mid-size data environments
Help analyze data structures to operationalize environments
Install, configure and support data structures for target environments and applications, ensuring their security and integrity
Help practitioners manage, use and access databases
Develop and update system and database documentation
Advise and support the IT development team with new database development and change work
Automate data structure activities
Serve as a resource person to the IT development team for database modifications and new development
Coordinate frequently with stakeholders in other fields
Help solve complex problems using analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business
