About the role
- Database administrator supporting Desjardins’ secure, large-scale data infrastructure. Designing, maintaining, automating and documenting database environments for IT development teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade computer networks, management systems and database servers
- Plan, design, modify, implement, update and develop data structures for important projects and initiatives in medium- to large-scale database environments
- Install, configure and support database management systems
- Ensure databases are secure, accurate, consistent, maintained and used optimally
- Plan and prioritize work to meet objectives
- Help create and maintain small- to mid-size data environments
- Help analyze data structures to operationalize environments
- Install, configure and support data structures for target environments and applications, ensuring their security and integrity
- Help practitioners manage, use and access databases
- Develop and update system and database documentation
- Advise and support the IT development team with new database development and change work
- Automate data structure activities
- Serve as a resource person to the IT development team for database modifications and new development
- Coordinate frequently with stakeholders in other fields
- Help solve complex problems using analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
