About the role
- Claims technician reviewing, analyzing, and approving medium-complexity property and casualty insurance settlements for Desjardins. Providing technical guidance and resolving complex claims issues across Greater Gaspésie.
Responsibilities
- Review claims and establish guidelines for the claims settlement process
- Serve as technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for medium-complexity claims settlement
- Help develop technical skills
- Use decision-making skills to solve technically complex problems
- Prepare action plans based on claim reviews
- Provide technical support for contract enforcement
- Help claims advisors develop their technical skills
- Analyze and approve claims settlements
- Conduct research and serve as a resource person
- Propose solutions to conflicts and situations outside claims advisors' scope of authority
- Revise independent adjuster claims
Requirements
- Trade school diploma in a related field
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel
- Available to travel throughout the Greater Gaspésie region
