Responsibilities
Build and maintain respectful, long-term relationships with Indigenous leaders, communities and partner organizations across Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Represent Dexterra at community events, industry meetings and strategic gatherings.
Collaborate with sales, operations, legal and other teams to support proposals, bids and business development initiatives.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Indigenous engagement strategies and initiatives.
Prepare and deliver presentations, coordinate agreements and ensure compliance with legal and financial obligations.
Support training to raise awareness of Indigenous realities and contribute to our PAIR certification efforts with the CCIB.
Requirements
Bilingual in English and French required.
3 to 5+ years of experience in Indigenous community relations, business development or a related role.
Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, realities and protocols.
Indigenous candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Postsecondary education or relevant experience in Indigenous studies, social sciences, communications or a related field.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally.
Solid knowledge of contract drafting and management, negotiations, financial reporting and multidisciplinary teamwork.
High standards of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong attention to quality of work and a positive, collaborative attitude.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently (40–50%) across Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
