About the role
- Pricing Analyst developing complex multimodal transport quotations for DSV, a global transport and logistics leader. Supporting project cargo, carrier negotiations, bids, and commercial pricing analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare competitive pricing proposals and quotations for domestic and international transportation requirements
- Manage pricing requests for project cargo, out-of-gauge, oversized, heavy-lift, and specialized shipments
- Evaluate transportation modes, routing, service levels, and carrier options
- Obtain and negotiate rates with airlines, ocean carriers, trucking companies, rail providers, terminals, agents, and other service providers
- Build door-to-door pricing solutions including transportation, handling, customs, fuel, accessorial, and other charges
- Analyze carrier and supplier rates and ensure pricing aligns with margin requirements
- Prepare pricing breakdowns and commercial proposals for customers and sales teams
- Maintain rates, tariffs, surcharges, and supplier pricing in systems and databases
- Review cargo specifications and develop solutions for complex project and out-of-gauge cargo
- Obtain specialized equipment and handling rates and coordinate pricing across modes and geographic locations
- Identify operational constraints and pricing risks; assist with project budgets and cost estimates
- Support tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and large-scale project bids
- Develop air, ocean, road, rail, and multimodal pricing solutions
- Collaborate with regional and global teams on international transportation solutions
- Partner with Sales and Business Development on new opportunities and customer retention
- Participate in customer calls and meetings requiring pricing expertise
- Monitor market conditions, carrier pricing, capacity, fuel costs, and other pricing factors
- Maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, agents, and transportation partners
- Track quotation activity, win/loss information, margins, and pricing metrics
- Assist with pricing analysis and reporting
- Ensure compliance with pricing procedures, approval processes, and commercial policies
- Maintain documentation and audit trails
- Support DSV quality, health, safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years international transportation industry experience or education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
- Demonstrated experience in pricing, quotations, procurement, or commercial transportation activities
- Experience with project cargo, out-of-gauge, oversized, heavy-lift, or specialized transportation strongly preferred
- Experience preparing complex, multi-leg transportation quotations
- Experience with RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and project pricing is an asset
- Good command, both verbal and written, English skills
- Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
- Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, project management, negotiating, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
- Microsoft Office suite
- CargoWise experience, an asset
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer
