About the role

  • Senior Pricing Analyst pricing Group Retirement Services for Sun Life, helping clients achieve lifetime financial security. Building pension pricing scenarios, fee recommendations, and approval materials.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Manager, Pricing & Profitability
  • Support all pricing aspects of existing business and new business opportunities for Group Retirement Services
  • Prepare pricing quotes for senior management approval using business development information, pricing models, and analytical tools
  • Assess requirements, risks, competitive pressures, and financial feasibility of Defined Contribution pricing cases
  • Produce pricing scenarios and alternate fee options for new and existing Defined Contribution pension plans
  • Determine appropriate benchmarks and recommend fees based on quantitative and service-level specifications
  • Participate in pricing strategy and assumptions discussions with cross-functional stakeholders and senior management
  • Summarize analyses and recommendations to obtain pricing approvals according to established Pricing Guidelines
  • Propose and communicate pricing options and changes to Customer Relationship Executives, Managers, and Regional Directors of Business Development
  • Prepare Letter of Commitment documents for clients
  • Analyze recordkeeping service requirements and costs in RFPs
  • Maintain and update the Pricing Model and supporting infrastructure
  • Assist with projects as required

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in Group Retirement Services or Financial Services/Insurance
  • University degree in Business, Finance, or Economics
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, modeling, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically and apply quantitative and qualitative information
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and influencing skills
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • CPA, CFA, and/or MBA are assets
