Senior Pharma Operations Specialist coordinating compliant healthcare shipments for DSV, a global transport and logistics leader. Managing carriers, customs, documentation, tracking, and customer communication.
Responsibilities
Process all Pharma/Healthcare shipments from start to finish
Manage and coordinate shipments daily
Coordinate air and ocean shipments with overseas offices and agents
Establish schedules with carriers and tender/dispatch shipments
Create and prepare shipping documents
Arrange customs clearance and release for import shipments with customs brokers and agencies
Adhere to domestic and international shipping regulations and DSV Pharma QMS Policy
Track and trace shipments
Prepare and publish reports
Identify problems and implement appropriate solutions
Communicate with customers regarding shipment updates, issues, and resolutions
Confirm carrier rates and service levels
Reconcile payables and approve vendor invoices
Prepare quotes for clients and network offices/agents
Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select cost-effective pickup and delivery methods
Perform lane analysis to select appropriate transport modes
Investigate non-conformities and develop corrective actions with Quality teams
Ensure DSV KPIs are met throughout shipment movement
Support ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 commitments and quality, health, safety, and environmental objectives
Requirements
A minimum of five years international transportation industry experience or education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
CIFFA certificate, an asset
Pharmaceutical certification (GDP/GMP), DSV Pharma QMS, etc., an asset
Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status, an asset
Good command, both verbal and written, English skills
Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Microsoft Office suite
CargoWise experience, an asset
Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
Prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer
