About the role
- Power BI Developer transforming raw data into insights via dashboards for ELITS Canada. Collaborating on business intelligence solutions that drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform data modeling and create complex DAX calculations to support data analysis.
- Connect to data sources, import, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes.
- Implement row-level security and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics and performance indicators.
- Provide training and support to end users on Power BI tools.
- Stay updated on the latest Power BI features, trends, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development, including dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
- Strong understanding of DAX for calculations and measures.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Power BI certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
- Experience in Azure
- Experience of ADF – Azure Data Factory a plus
- Experience with Azure Synapse a plus
