About the role
- Commercial Portfolio Management intern supporting EQ Bank’s commercial lending reviews, reporting, and client coordination. Contributing to RESTful APIs, ETL integrations, Power Platform solutions, and AI-enabled banking technology.
Responsibilities
- Determine the information/documentation requirements for upcoming annual reviews, including complex loan structures, and communicate requirements to clients, brokers, and lending partners
- Maintain and update annual review pipeline reporting and review submitted documents before forwarding them to the Account Manager
- Maintain and update site inspection reporting for renewals and annual reviews; identify and escalate problematic inspections
- Manage workflow to meet prescribed deadlines
- Communicate with internal and external contacts to ensure transactions are processed efficiently and provide superior customer service
- Provide vacation coverage for the Renewal Coordinator, including client, broker, and lending partner communications, daily reporting, and administering renewals/extensions
- Contribute to special projects as assigned
- Support the design, development, testing, and support of RESTful APIs, ETL integrations, Power Platform solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities within the Commercial Lending Technology team
- Support AI integrations, LLM-powered workflows, intelligent agents, and automated business processes
- Contribute to secure, scalable, reusable interoperability and microservice solutions supporting digital payment capabilities
Requirements
- Post-secondary education (diploma/degree), preferably in business or finance
- A minimum of 2 years’ commercial mortgage administration and/or credit experience
- Prior experience completing and reviewing site inspections an asset
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Ability to handle competing priorities and work well under pressure
- Good time management and organizational abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear, concise and professional manner
- Team player
- Bilingualism is an asset
