About the role

  • Infrastructure Analyst at EY-Parthenon, advising public and private clients on commercial and financial aspects of major infrastructure projects. Developing financial models, research, reports and presentations across transportation, energy, healthcare and other sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial and financial aspects of infrastructure advisory engagements
  • Develop cash flow and project finance financial models
  • Research and synthesize financial, commercial, public policy, academic and industry insights
  • Prepare clear, high-quality reports and presentations tailored to the audience
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis across infrastructure projects
  • Address diverse stakeholder needs and navigate ambiguity
  • Manage and deliver multiple assignments
  • Contribute to business development and the go-to-market strategy
  • Support projects across the infrastructure lifecycle, including strategy, policy and business case development, transactions, asset management, renewal and disposal
  • Collaborate with infrastructure professionals across Canada and colleagues from other practices

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, or economics
  • 2–5 years of work experience in infrastructure-related fields or relevant commercial and/or financial analysis
  • Strong MS Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail in producing high-quality deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to a range of audiences
  • Keen interest in supporting critical infrastructure projects
  • Ability to undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to research and synthesize insights from financial, commercial, public policy, academic and industry sources
  • Ability to prepare clearly written, high-quality reports and presentations
  • Self-motivation, organizational skills, flexibility and adaptability
  • Achievement of, or progress towards, CPA, CFA, CBV or another relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage
  • Understanding of commercial and financial issues in infrastructure, including commercial structuring, analysis and procurement
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and financial models
  • Working knowledge of debt financing, capital markets and/or project financing markets
  • Working knowledge of capital project procurement models such as DBB, DB, CMAR, IPD, PDB, P3 and Alliance
