About the role
- AI Software Developer building augmented-reality and content-management software for aviation and aerospace manufacturers. Integrating AI capabilities and applying TDD, Agile, Java, and JavaScript.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and integrate augmented reality and content lifecycle management solutions for aviation and aerospace manufacturing customers
- Research and experiment with the latest techniques and practices for using AI to build software
- Pilot AI usage and best practices across the organization
- Integrate AI features and capabilities into software products
- Consult with team members and customers to ensure project success
- Understand requirements and estimate work timelines to manage deliverables
- Employ Agile and Test Driven Development best practices
- Write code to implement requirements in a TDD process
- Refactor code to improve quality
- Follow coding standards and technology best practices
- Track work in JIRA or other task management software
- Adhere to Quality Management System, Information Security Management System, and Privacy Information Management System requirements
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in developing software applications
- Extensive experience using AI and its strengths and weaknesses
- Knowledge of requirements gathering methods and tools
- Programming experience with Java and JavaScript
- Good conceptual understanding of Web Application Development Technologies
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Experience in a variety of languages
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and continuous integration
- Good understanding of Agile process
- Must be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen
- Knowledge of airline publishing specifications S1000D and ATA iSpec2200 is a plus
