Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and integrate augmented reality and content lifecycle management solutions for aviation and aerospace manufacturing customers
Research and experiment with the latest techniques and practices for using AI to build software
Pilot AI usage and best practices across the organization
Integrate AI features and capabilities into software products
Consult with team members and customers to ensure project success
Understand requirements and estimate work timelines to manage deliverables
Employ Agile and Test Driven Development best practices
Write code to implement requirements in a TDD process
Refactor code to improve quality
Follow coding standards and technology best practices
Track work in JIRA or other task management software
Adhere to Quality Management System, Information Security Management System, and Privacy Information Management System requirements
Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in developing software applications
Extensive experience using AI and its strengths and weaknesses
Knowledge of requirements gathering methods and tools
Programming experience with Java and JavaScript
Good conceptual understanding of Web Application Development Technologies
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Experience in a variety of languages
Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and continuous integration
Good understanding of Agile process
Must be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen
Knowledge of airline publishing specifications S1000D and ATA iSpec2200 is a plus
