Responsibilities
Performs non-routine and varied engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems
Receives minimal assistance and instruction on most assignments and solutions
Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards
Independently evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications
Continues to develop knowledge of organization processes and customers
Works on special projects, as directed
Performs other related duties and tasks, as required
Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies
Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd
Maintains a safety mindset
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 4 years of related experience
Registered Professional Engineering License (P. Eng.)
Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
Displays informal leadership characteristics
Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role
