About the role
- Project Leader II managing nuclear projects at Framatome. Focused on clean energy solutions and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide project leadership on smaller projects and/or manage elements and functions within larger projects under the direct supervision of higher level, project manager
- Prepare project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives
- Utilize approved project management methods and processes to execute low risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations
- Provide primary interface between project team, management and client
- Develop assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project
- Coordinate multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilizes team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance
- Define and forecast needed skills to meet project objectives
- Manage the timely issuance and payment of customer invoices
- Utilize existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies
- Actively participate in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
- Must obtain Framatome specific Project Management Certification upon hire.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Knowledge of the project management development plan, implementation and administration
- Business and/or technical expertise in a related technical or professional capacity
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills with emphasis on 'root cause' analysis
- Excellent report development and presentation skills.
