Project Director leading GE Vernova renewable hydro projects, managing execution, customers, risks, claims, teams, and schedules. Driving on-time delivery, quality, safety, cash, and margin performance.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall project execution strategy based on the contract
Represent GE to the customer and manage the customer interface and relationship
Manage internal and external communication
Set up and secure resources necessary for project execution
Organize the project team and define roles, responsibilities, interfaces, and scope of duties
Monitor and report key performance indicators
Take action and make decisions to achieve financial, schedule, quality, and safety performance goals
Establish, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Plan, procedures, and EHS Plan
Define claim management strategy and lead necessary claim-related actions
Define and update risk management plans and evaluate risks and opportunities
Manage the project from Sales hand-over through completion of obligations at FAC or hand-over to the Service Sector
Improve the overall project process and provide feedback to Sales and other business functions
Build, lead, and coach the project team
Define project goals and objectives, evaluate performance, and provide development plans to functional management
Develop and monitor the Master Time Schedule and manage project float to ensure timely completion
Requirements
University degree in engineering
5 to 15 years of relevant power generation industrial experience
3 years of Project Director experience
International project execution experience
Large Construction (EPC) and site experience
Fluent in both French and English
Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including reference verification and background check
Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization
Hydro electric industry experience is highly preferred
University degree in Business Administration, or equivalent commercial background
Background in contract law, claim management, and scheduling
Legal and claim management Sales, Purchasing
