About the role

  • Associate Director leading Canadian market access strategies for Novo Nordisk diabetes and RareD treatments. Driving health technology assessments, payer negotiations, listings and reimbursement.

Responsibilities

  • Own access plans for brands from strategy through listing
  • Set Market Access and Public Affairs brand strategy for diabetes and RareD products
  • Work with Pricing to secure approval of pricing strategy
  • Develop brand value stories, tactical tools, brand-specific action plans and field MAPA training
  • Lead CADTH and INESSS submissions and interactions with HEOR
  • Lead pCPA negotiations to achieve Letters of Intent on optimal criteria
  • Secure Product Listing Agreements with Pricing and field MAPA colleagues
  • Co-create global MAPA material as a member of Global Core Access Teams
  • Represent Novo Canada in industry groups to advocate for improved market access conditions
  • Manage the department and its budget
  • Ensure each team member has a development plan with clear goals aligned to business priorities
  • Collaborate with Pricing, HEOR, field MAPA, Marketing and Medical Affairs
  • Engage externally with CADTH, INESSS, the pCPA, provincial payers and industry groups

Requirements

  • A university degree at MSc or PhD level in a relevant field
  • At least 10 years of experience in market access or a relevant position
  • Ability to set direction, translate strategy into ambitious goals with clear priorities, and make sound decisions when the stakes are high
  • Strong relationship-building skills across functions and cultures
  • Credibility to negotiate and align internal and external stakeholders
  • Coaching mindset, including giving honest feedback and supporting performance and development
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly to change and keep things simple
  • Solid capabilities in health economics, outcomes research and/or statistics
  • International experience
  • People management experience
