About the role

Responsibilities
- Produce detailed structural drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Advance Steel
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, detail drawings, and erection drawings for structural projects
- Develop and maintain 3D structural models for mining and heavy industrial projects
- Generate plans, elevations, sections, and details from structural models
- Create and maintain drawing sets for review, approval, and construction
Requirements
- A diploma in Structural Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Registered as an Applied Science Technologist in Canada or eligible to register
- 3+ years progressive experience as a Structural Drafter on Mining / Heavy Industrial Projects
- Familiarity with greenfield and brownfield mining open-pit and underground mining projects
- Experience creating 2D and 3D drawings, plot plans, profiles, and details
- AutoCAD is essential
- Advance Steel would be beneficial
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and codes
- Ability to present project design and concepts to clients
- Fluent with MS Office software.
