About the role

  • AI transformation leader shaping product and design operations for GitLab’s DevSecOps platform. Building agents, prioritizing AI initiatives, and driving organizational adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Own the function's AI strategy in alignment with the Executive Sponsor and business priorities
  • Identify high-impact opportunities where AI can transform workflows and define measurable success metrics
  • Map end-to-end work flows and upstream/downstream handoffs across organizations
  • Manage intake of AI requests, ideas, and pain points
  • Prioritize AI initiatives against business outcomes and executive guidance
  • Reimagine workflows and drive adoption and change management
  • Coordinate with Enterprise AI on tools, patterns, and learnings
  • Build and bridge a Champion network across sub-teams
  • Build AI agents using no-code and low-code platforms such as Glean and Workato
  • Author and iterate on skills files defining agent behavior
  • Configure MCP servers and tools securely with the AI Engineer
  • Own the function's agent fleet, tracking KPIs, evaluating changes, and iterating on performance
  • Partner with an AI Engineer on technical delivery, architecture, and production-grade scaling

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of your function's operations
  • Strategic prioritization skills and ability to make hard calls about competing demands
  • Product management mindset, including intake, backlog, iteration, adoption, and success metrics
  • Strong communication and influence skills
  • Cross-functional understanding of organizational processes
  • Experience building peer networks or communities of practice
  • Comfortable building AI agents, configuring skills, connecting MCP servers, and troubleshooting issues
  • Experience with or willingness to quickly learn no-code/low-code AI platforms, prompt engineering, and agent configuration
  • Strong conceptual understanding of AI capabilities, including summarization, classification, generation, automation, and agentic workflows
  • Ability to map structured and unstructured data flows
  • Commitment to staying current with rapidly changing AI developments
