About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the development team in designing new products, in alignment with the product and technology roadmap
- Design innovative solutions with a high degree of manufacturability and a focus on continuous improvement
- Use the latest materials, processes, and technologies to optimize products
- Manage multiple engineering projects while ensuring compliance with safety, cost, quality, and schedule requirements
- Develop detailed and comprehensive specifications for each new project
- Define and conduct the tests required to validate compliance with design requirements and ISO standards
- Apply existing engineering processes, optimize them, and develop new ones as needed
- Participate in Voice of the Customer (VOC) meetings in collaboration with the marketing team
- Support marketing at trade shows, conferences, product launches, and training sessions
- Work closely with operations and suppliers to reduce costs and optimize the supply chain
- Collaborate with the after-sales service team to quickly resolve high-priority issues
- Sustainably reduce product issues, warranty costs, and shop rework
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting directly on-site at customer locations when necessary
Requirements
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience with CAD (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)
- Bilingual in French and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and ERP systems is an asset
- Electrical distribution (12/24 V DC; low-/medium-voltage AC is an asset)
- Knowledge of schematics and component selection
- PLC programming (CODESYS, CAN J1939 protocol)
- Hydraulic and pneumatic controls
- Diagnostics of diesel engines and powertrains for mobile equipment
- Self-directed, proactive, highly responsible, and able to manage urgent situations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
