About the role

  • Business Solutions Consultant assisting clients with Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations tailored for the funeral industry. Collaborating on innovative ERP projects with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • You will assist our clients with the implementation of a funerary module integrated with the financial module of Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring a consistent deployment between the parent company and its subsidiaries and adapted to the sector’s specific requirements.
  • Work closely with pre-sales architects to assess the feasibility of proposed solutions, estimate required effort, and evaluate impacts on existing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of the project plan in coordination with the project manager, including defining, sequencing, and prioritizing activities.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, analyze functional gaps, document requirements, and design the functional architecture tailored to each client context.
  • Collaborate with technical subject-matter experts (SMEs) to establish a robust solution architecture, supported by clear documentation of functional and technical requirements.
  • Support clients by providing recommendations and implementing financial policies and procedures that meet their needs and align with industry best practices.
  • Write detailed functional specifications based on clients’ stated requirements, ensuring they are clear and usable by technical teams.
  • Prepare test scenarios, coordinate and participate in functional testing (UAT), identify issues, validate fixes, and ensure the solution meets defined requirements.
  • Monitor and validate key project milestones, confirming completion of critical deliverables before moving to the next phase.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, respond to questions about deployed solutions, and track follow-up requests.
  • Document the final solution and organize a structured knowledge transfer to the support team or end users, ensuring long-term sustainability of the solution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is a strong asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ consulting experience with the financial modules of Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC).
  • Experience in accounting (3 years) is an advantage.
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, including general ledger, financial statements, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, fixed assets, billing, financial reporting, multi-currency, and multi-company management.
  • Fluency in French and an advanced level of English are required due to the nature of the role, including regular communication with clients outside Quebec.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • MB-800 Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Functional Associate certification is an asset.
