About the role

Senior implementation consultant deploying Altera Sunrise EMR solutions for Canadian clinics. Configuring systems, optimizing workflows, and supporting healthcare go-lives.

Responsibilities

Implement Altera software solutions, especially Sunrise EMR Core and Ambulatory, at client sites primarily in Manitoba
Complete project workplan tasks according to contracted project scope as part of a multidisciplinary project team
Perform complex system configuration and provide technical guidance to clients
Provide workflow consultation for registration, scheduling, and clinical documentation
Translate paper-based clinic workflows into optimized electronic formats
Identify, resolve, and escalate system and workflow issues throughout implementation projects
Provide activation support and meet client utilization and transformation targets
Manage expectations of end-users, executive leadership, and other client stakeholders
Anticipate client needs, advocate for clients, and support successful project delivery
Travel primarily for critical on-site support during final go-live activities

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required
2+ years of hands-on healthcare IT implementation and configuration experience
Strong, demonstrated functional knowledge of an EMR/EHR system
Specific expertise in Altera Sunrise EMR (Core or Ambulatory) preferred
Experience with Epic or Meditech valued when coupled with deep knowledge of clinic workflows
Experience working as part of a formal implementation project team that has successfully rolled out EMR systems
Clinical background preferred
Technical background, such as SQL or SSRS reporting, preferred
Proven client presentation experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Project management experience and ability to manage numerous priorities during long-term implementation cycles
Ability to quickly learn new information
Willingness and ability to travel as required
