Responsibilities
Open, process, and close short-term and long-term disability claim files according to established procedures
Scan, file, and track documents related to the Life Insurance and Disability sectors
Perform administrative and financial transactions, including setting up direct deposits, processing invoices, cashing cheques, and managing issued payments
Manage departmental inboxes and process and distribute mail and special deliveries
Participate in resolving more complex situations
Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and process optimization initiatives
Requirements
Relevant post-secondary diploma or minimum three years of relevant experience in a structured administrative or operational environment
Experience ideally within insurance, financial services, or complex administrative services sectors
Accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Client-focused and solution-oriented
Autonomy, sound judgment, and confidence handling complex or ambiguous situations
Excellent command of French, spoken and written
Intermediate knowledge of English
Daily communication with English-speaking clients and partners across Canada via email and phone
