About the role

  • Production Clerk supporting purchasing, inventory, receiving, and production records at JBS Canada’s Belleville meat-processing facility. Maintaining SAP documentation and HACCP-compliant supply records.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support for purchasing, inventory, receiving, and production operations
  • Review receiving documentation and accurately enter information into company systems, including SAP and Excel
  • Maintain vendor files and obtain required certificates and supporting documentation
  • Verify receiving paperwork and certifications against established requirements and report discrepancies
  • Report issues, discrepancies, or concerns to the appropriate department or supervisor
  • Enter and maintain production, inventory, and supply information in SAP
  • Maintain records related to purchasing, inventory, receiving, and scheduling
  • Coordinate receiving, storage, and movement documentation for raw materials in compliance with HACCP requirements and customer specifications
  • Assist with orders for dry goods and production supplies
  • Ensure production, inventory, and related records are complete, accurate, and current
  • Compile and distribute reports related to inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and service levels
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties and other related duties as assigned
  • Adhere to company policies, food safety requirements, quality standards, and health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • College diploma in Business, Operations Management or related area
  • 0-2 years of related experience, preferably within the manufacturing / food processing sector
  • Knowledge of the meat industry
  • Understanding of JBS’s techniques on “primal” breakout for production
  • Advanced analytical skills, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent public relations, conflict resolution and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • WHMIS, HACCP and food safety training and commitment
  • Excellent time management skills in handling multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to work a Sunday to Thursday afternoon schedule
  • Ability to work in a cold working environment for parts of each day
