About the role

  • Senior IT resilience advisor governing disaster recovery, continuity, and technology risk. Strengthening recovery capabilities for iA Financial Group’s insurance and wealth-management services.

Responsibilities

  • Act as owner of the IT recovery framework and influential leader of the corporate technology recovery program
  • Establish, maintain, and evolve the IT recovery governance framework, roles, responsibilities, RACI, and escalation mechanisms
  • Align the program with business continuity, risk management, cybersecurity, and operational resilience objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal control frameworks, and industry best practices
  • Present program progress, risks, and issues to governance bodies
  • Maintain the master IT recovery strategy for critical infrastructure, cloud environments, and strategic vendors
  • Align business objectives, RTO/RPO targets, and technology capabilities
  • Assess resilience and recovery capabilities of critical vendors
  • Define standards, templates, and practices for IT recovery plans
  • Support development and updating of recovery plans for critical platforms and assets
  • Maintain dependency mapping across applications, infrastructure, technology platforms, and critical business services
  • Establish annual exercise calendars, disaster scenarios, and success criteria
  • Coordinate backup, failover, and recovery testing with internal teams and strategic vendors
  • Oversee post-exercise reviews and follow-up action plans
  • Develop performance indicators, executive dashboards, and program maturity metrics
  • Monitor platform strategies, recovery playbooks, and recovery guides
  • Coordinate risk assessments, audit reporting, and mitigation initiatives
  • Serve as primary contact during operational resilience, business continuity, and IT recovery audits
  • Support decision-making during major incidents affecting critical technology services
  • Evolve recovery strategies following cyber incidents with information security teams

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of experience in information technology, particularly in infrastructure, IT operations, architecture, and business continuity
  • At least 5 years of experience in disaster recovery or operational resilience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology Administration, or another relevant field
  • Influential leadership and ability to mobilize diverse stakeholders
  • Rigor, organizational skills, and ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills with technical, business, and executive audiences
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional programs involving multiple teams, business units, and strategic vendors
  • Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, RTO/RPO, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, ITSM, and IT Governance concepts
  • Understanding of hybrid technology environments including VMware, Azure, SaaS, PaaS solutions, and outsourced technology services
  • Excellent command of French, written and spoken
  • Intermediate English proficiency
  • Knowledge of the financial services and insurance industry is considered an asset
  • CBCP or MBCI certification is considered a significant asset
