About the role

  • Clinical Project Manager overseeing oncology clinical research projects for ICON, a global clinical research organisation. Leading clients, cross-functional teams, vendors, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the whole project or a portfolio of projects
  • Act as the primary liaison to clients, ensuring questions are answered and issues are resolved
  • Lead and direct cross-functional team leaders and third parties/vendors
  • Manage project contractual deliverables, including progress metrics and adherence to contractual time, quality/scope, and cost deliverables
  • Participate in and attend the bid defense process
  • Provide feedback on project team members’ performance to respective line-managers
  • Maintain detailed understanding of each functional service area
  • Lead multifaceted functional teams effectively with little supervision or support
  • Develop in-depth analyses and projections of project timelines and financials for senior and customer management
  • Manage projects to optimal quality, on time, and on budget
  • Apply financial acumen and a risk mitigation mindset
  • Collaborate with other project leaders and vendors

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical research within a CRO
  • Undergraduate degree or international equivalent from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the key responsibilities, required
  • Undergraduate degree in a clinical, science, or health-related field, preferred
  • Licensed healthcare professional, such as a registered nurse, preferred
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience leading Oncology cellular therapy clinical trials, strongly preferred
  • English fluency, including ability to read, write, and speak, required
  • Ability to travel up to 25%; exact travel varies according to client needs
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
  • Must not require now or in the future sponsorship for employment visa status
