About the role

Manager, Software Development role focusing on vendor management and product support at Intact. Seeking a candidate with strong budgeting, team management skills, and open to change.

Responsibilities

Participate in vendor renewals and licensing discussions.
Work with users across the organization to understand how products and tools are being used.
Participate in finance and budgetary discussions.
Build up a product support organization providing multiple levels of support, including AI based agents.
Create an SRE program in collaboration with Product Leaders on the team.
Help instill a product mindset with the team, encouraging minimal viable product delivery.
Anticipate problems and difficult situations and take necessary measures to resolve them.
Remain on the lookout for new technologies and question the status quo.

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or any combination of relevant education and experience.
Strong experience in managing budget and finance in a large organization.
Strong experience in building and managing teams.
Managing people in a product operating model.
An open and transparent style of working.
Open to change and new ideas.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (French and English) is required: Need to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required; however, must be eligible to work in Canada.
