Responsibilities
Analyze information gathered, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage on complex residential total losses or complex scope-and-repair claims
Develop an action plan to ensure all aspects of the claim are addressed
Manage all financial components of the claim, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt and equitable settlements in line with Intact’s policies and standards
Ensure clear and concise information and direction are provided to vendors
Work with experts, including consultants, appraisers, engineers, and others, to help drive progress throughout the claim
Provide superior customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries related to the claims process
Keep up-to-date on Intact’s insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and service standards
Requirements
8+ years of property claims-handling experience, including major-loss residential files; catastrophe experience is an asset
Adaptable and agile in a rapidly evolving business
A passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
